Vote for Abortion Returned to Arizona with “F/ck Bans” Envisioning a World with Protected Reproductive Rights

Reproductive rights activist and creator Deja Foxx joined the “F/CK Bans” bus in Arizona

Vote for Abortion returned to Arizona on October 11 and 12, following its successful June debut. The campaign, aimed at energizing young voters around reproductive freedom, set up a mobile "f/ck bans" shop in Tempe and downtown Phoenix. This pop-up showcased a world with protected reproductive rights, offering emergency contraceptives from Julie, pregnancy tests and UTI kits from Winx, free piercings, and a glam bar. Young attendees expressed excitement about voting and concern about potential outcomes if they didn't participate.

Survivor and abortion rights activist Hadley Duvall emphasized, “You can’t wait until politics aligns with your life and affects it to care, we can’t wait until it’s too late. We have the chance to speak now and do what we need to do.”

The campaign provided information on early voting, which began on October 9, and featured appearances by creator Liz Plank, activists Hadley Duvall and Dr. Heather Irubundu, and host Liliana Vazquez. "We have fewer than three weeks until the election, and it's our job to use every day to make sure that people on the ground understand the power of their vote," said Jenny Kay, Vote for Abortion spokesperson at the event. "There are 10 states with ballot initiatives, and the outcomes will shape the future of healthcare in this country."

Author, creator and activist Liz Plank joined the activation to hand out free contraception and apply temporary “vote for abortion” tattoos on guests.
