Feminist Founder: THE HONEY POT CO.
We caught up with Bea Dixon, the Feminist Founder behind The Honey Pot Co, the first complete plant-derived feminine care system in the market for humans with vaginas. After suffering from a yearlong bout of Bacterial Vaginosis, the formula for what would become The Honey Pot’s washes came to Bea Dixon from a feminine ancestor through a dream. Now that’s what we call centering the divine feminine!
Meet the feminist founder revolutionizing the traditionally white male dominated industry and reminding us to treat our vaginal health the same way we treat our physical and mental health.

BEA DIXON
Co-Founder & CEO The Honey Pot Company
Q: Three words to describe being a female founder?
Bea:
Tenacious,
Bold,
Fearless.
Q: What Inspired The Honey Pot Co.?
Bea: It was less of an inspiration and more of a need. I was suffering with a yearlong bout of Bacterial Vaginosis - in so much pain and exhausting absolutely every option. Once the continued use of antibiotics didn’t change my experience, I felt helpless. One night my ancestor came to me in a dream, sharing the formula for what would become our washes. I woke up and feverishly wrote down all of the ingredients. That day I made the concoction in my kitchen, used it and it worked. I realized immediately that others were likely experiencing similar issues and that this product needed to be shared with the world and then The Honey Pot was born.
Q: What is it like being a woman of color in feminine wellness right now?
Bea: It’s a privilege and grounded in every business decision we make. Having the opportunity to build a brand as a Black human that focuses on vaginal empowerment and wellness is also just a gift in it of itself. Historically, this category is owned by white men who are dictating how and what we put into our vaginas, and to be able to challenge that model with better for you products is an effort I do not take lightly.
Q: What motivates you and how do you stay inspired?
Bea: My ultimate goals for this brand are to continue expanding our product offerings so that we have everything a woman needs for her vaginal health and wellness. We want to be the brand that is synonymous with healthy, natural and effective vaginal care and vaginal hygiene. I want to see this company become a global brand so women everywhere can have access to our healthy products.
Q: Who do you look up to?
Bea: Pema Chodron is a leader in the most dynamic sense of the word - a human who has cultivated her own path while sharing that path with others. A true leader in my opinion is someone who can guide whilst feeling guided and at its heart that is a spiritual practice. I look up to her ability to acknowledge that in the descent, as things fall apart, you can find peace and momentum to move forward. That ebb and flow and general recognition is both inspirational and practical to me.

Q: How do you use the power of your business to empower your community?
Bea: We are the first complete feminine care system that cleanses, protects, and balances your vagina. We are also the first plant-derived feminine care system to hit the market. No matter where a human is on their journey to vaginal wellness, The Honey Pot Co. has all the products to care for one’s needs. Our range of products includes those that can be used daily, but we also have products that can treat. The education behind our brand has a really rich approach to how one can care for their vaginal needs and have a relationship with it. We want to empower our community and make sure people feel comfortable with their vaginas and confident in the products they use.
Q: What advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur?
Bea: Follow your dreams and don’t take no for an answer. No one will ever grind for your business like you do, but know this life is 24/7. You will always be working—even on weekends and vacation. It’s what it takes when you’re a business owner.
