On Saturday, January 18th, FEMINIST joined a coalition of progressive groups at the People’s March in Washington, DC and across the United States, coming together and resist the upcoming threats to rights, dignity, and democracy. Together, over 50,000 of us, alongside more than 350 protests across every U.S. state and internationally, stood up against the incoming Trump administration and MAGA’s far-right agenda, Project 2025. We showed that power lies with the people, and we will not stay silent as an administration that threatens our fundamental values assumes power.

The march kicked off in the morning, with activists convening at the Washington Monument Grounds for a rally and festival. FEMINIST co-founder, Aisha Becker-Burrowes, spoke at the Repro Rally alongside other partners like the Gender Liberation Movement, Reproductive Freedom For All, and other gender equity reproductive freedom advocates. Throughout the day, Team FEMINIST also documented the march, interviewing activists, advocates, and attendees to share their messages with our community.

Mass protests alone won't protect our communities, but they are crucial for building momentum, spreading our message, and uniting people across differences. To tackle what's ahead, we need better coordination, a clear strategy, and a strong commitment to working together. FEMINIST has created a People’s March resource toolkit, giving activists access to steps to continue taking action against this administration.

Whether you attend a march, chip in to support other attendees, or start a conversation with a loved one, we know this community will be integral to the fight to combat Project 2025 and take on the Trump presidency with max resistance. We encourage everyone to take action ahead of the inauguration — and beyond.
